Walk with Scott supports Cahonas Scotland

This weekend, May 2nd and 3rd, will see the return of the East Lothian Fundraiser Walk with Scott led by Tranent Comedian and Fundraiser Scott Glynn.

Scott launched the idea – a 56 mile walk which takes in all six of East Lothian’s rugby clubs over two days of walking – two years ago to celebrate his 50th birthday and has gone on to raise more than £72,000 in the first two years. The fundraising target has been set at £7,000 for the epic 50-mile, two-day walk, as Scott aims to break the £100,000 barrier in the three years of running the mammoth walk.

Cahonas Scotland are proud to be supported by the fundraiser again this year along with other beneficiaries Tranent youth group Recharge; Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH); and Teenage Cancer Trust Scotland.

About the event Scott said “Its brilliant to see the people of East Lothian getting behind it, and folk can do it for their own charities, as well as the four in the Walk with Scott pot.”

Scott is urging anyone who wishes to get involved to do so for their own charities. He added: “I want to make people aware that you can do it for your own cause, whatever that is.

“As long as you donate 10 per cent of what you raise to the pot, then you’re effectively raising money for five charities.”
